DJINN
Djinn spawned by the mind of Evgene Vitras, also behind the label Death in Venice and, despite its very underground attitude, is known as one of the oldest and most interesting death industrial / ambient act from the italian scene. Sinking its root in the late ´90, Djinn plays a kind of morbid and extreme dark ambient which can recall, on one hand, the old death industrial italian act a´ la Mauthausen Orchestra / Atrax Morgue (it´s not casual that the first Djinn´s released have been released from the cult Corbelli´s label Slaughter Production) and, on the other hand, a low fi, minimal and stripped down dark ambient which reminds cult acts like Vond or Lustmord.
The contribution to this compilation has been taken from the release “The Cycle of Death pt. 2”
The latest album from Perth producer Phil Stroud offers a mesmerizing vision of "artificial sonic ecosystems," ambient at its most organic. Bandcamp New & Notable Apr 29, 2020
