DOLPO
Dolpo represents one of the nowadays most interesting artistic conjunction points between experimental ritual music and doom/sludge. The italian collective propose a new, yet very traditional version of Tibetan Bön chanting tradition with a wide use of the typical tibetan brass instruments, masterfully combined with fuzzy, dark and pitched-down sludge/doom tunes. The result is an sacral, yet utterly pitched obscure heavy music which blend elements of both experimental and doom genres. Their discography counts a couple of apparition, whose most relevant is maybe their LP "Inner Himalayas" released by Hypogeum Records, Dio Drone ‎and Bleu Audio Records. Their contribution to the Modern Bön VA is an unreleased song.
